About the Artist

Hi, friends!

My name is Sharon and I'm the artist, and owner of 5 16 Ceramics. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I'm often inspired and recharged by my beautiful desert surroundings.

I first discovered wheel-thrown ceramics in college, where I learned how therapeutic the process can be. I fell in love with creating, and have always felt connected to ceramics and the process that is required of each piece.

Durability, form and function are my highest priority as I love knowing that one of my wares may be cherished and used daily. I couldn't imagine life without sharing my human experience through clay.
